Audrey (Yunqing) Wang is a versatile composer, pianist, and singer-songwriter based in New York and Shanghai. She is trained in classical piano and music theory from a young age through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) system. Currently, she is also studying jazz piano and composition.
Audrey believes that music, like storytelling, has the power to let people momentarily experience lives they have never lived—and may never live. Her passion for film, musical theater, animation, and games has shaped her distinctive and sincere musical voice. At 16, she wrote an original 15-song musical based on The Little Prince, organizing rehearsals and performing twice to audiences of over 400 people. Her group ultimately donated their profits to a children’s art education charity.
Audrey is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Theory and Composition: Screen Scoring at NYU, where she collaborates with student directors and game designers from NYU Tisch. She looks forward to bringing more characters, stories, and worlds to life through her music.
